Ive had a great experience with Collegiate. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. The new facility is very well done and kept very clean. I dont feel rushed in my appointments and like they are trying to fit as many people as possible in at one time. Really gives time for the physiotherapist to focus on my needs as a patient.
I'm leaving 5 stars for physio Ben MacDonald. He used to work at our clinic in Burnaby, BC and has recently moved to Red Deer to be closer to family. I recommend anyone with any condition go see Ben. He's the most impressive new graduate (now is experienced) we have ever seen in at our clinic. He was able to immediately connect with patients, use his extensive knowledge, and help people recover. Best part is he usually did it while getting everyone to have fun! He's clinically precise, and has a gifted ability to help get people to reach their physical goals.
Im 37 years old, and Ive been a goaltender for 30 of those years. I have hip problems, Knee problems, with multiple ankle surgeries. All for the love of the game. I was recommended to go to Collegiate Sports Med, and thats where I met Bev Morrow. She was able help me so much!! With Massage Therapy, Fascial Stretch Therapy, and a rigorous home program, Im able to continue to play at a high level without pain. I would highly recommend that anyone with sports, or any other injury for that matter, to go visit Bev at Collegiate Sports Medicine. Thank you Bev!! You have saved my sports life!!
I have come to Collegiate for 4 very different injuries (2 sports injuries and 2 auto related) over the past 7 years and have seen 4 different therapists who have helped me through to recovery. Staff at Collegiate are friendly and professional and best of all, offer practical and achievable self-programs (to do on our own at home). Collegiate is my first choice in Red Deer for any type of physio therapy.
I see Ben at Collegiate Sports Medicine. We met after I bailed down a loose gravel hill during a long, tough trail run in BC. Being only a few short weeks from Edmonton half marathon with a grade 2 ligament ankle sprain, I thought there was no way I was going to be able to run that soon. Im a push it to the limits athlete, so I needed Bens reins to pull me in and let me loose slowly as my body was ready. Ben has mind blowing expertise of the human body and athletic impact. He takes the time to do thorough and purposeful treatments and teaching. He got me up and running within 9 days after my injury. I ran Edmonton half marathon with a 6 minute PR. I joke and say Ben is mean, but he really is the best! The front staff are friendly and willing to work with your schedule, even if it is last minute! I wont be going anywhere else!
