Fort Normandeau was quite nice! The staff was also very friendly. They have a nice little interpretive center as well as a small fort. The main building of the fort is open to visitors to see t things from the past. There is also a very large teepee on site for people to enjoy. You can also put a raft or canoe in at the ramp that is there.
The staff are very unhelpful. When asked about where to park, all she could muster was a very frazzled 'i don't know what to tell people'. I also scored an 'i told you so' moment, but my friend (along with many other people) scored a $50 parking ticket. Everybody's best friend, the county mountie, was laughing all the way to the bank today.
Great place to start floating down the river. And a great place to check out their grounds
It was mid-week, overcast and rainy when I visited so pretty quiet. Very nice setting by the river. Museum exhibits are well done and very interesting.
Amazing staff, very personable and accommodating. Beautiful scenery, very relaxed vibe, and they make it easy to learn something while enjoying yourself.
