I have walked out at McKenzie trails many times. I enjoy it because you meet many friendly people and it is just like walking in the country. It is a very nice place.
Good spot for picnic. Could maybe use a larger child's playground.
Very nice park. Few ponds full of Canadian Geese. Park has lots of trails and access to the Red Deer river. There are bathroom at this park as well. Trails are connected to City's Waskasoo trail system.
Nice quiet trail system. The park is usually busy with groups having functions and picnics but the path scenery is great and not too busy. Fun to see the geese in the spring
MacKenzie Trails are nice paved family friendly walking trails that wander around a small lake or through the trees. You can walk as long or short as you prefer. The trails also border the Red Deer River, and there a couple of spots where you can access the river. There are good washrooms, picnic tables, a childrens' play area, park benches to take in the view in a few spots, and a fire pit. It is lovely spot to take a walk, enjoy a picnic, or just sit and take pleasure in the ducks and geese paddling on the water.
