Best off leash park in the city! Our dog loves the river parts as well as the wooded trails...and of course all the friendly people and dogs along the way.
Nice place to take the dog off leash for walks. He loves swimming in the river! However there are ticks in the area as well as beavers and other wild life. Be cautious of irresponsible dog owners as well, there has been a few instances of dogs not getting along. However, we have never had any issues with other dogs!
I really enjoy taking my dog here. Other dog owners are friendly, has always been safe for my dog off leash and she loves the space available to run around to burn off energy. Great walking trails and scenery, and access to the river for a doggy drink and cool down.
Great place, almost only good interactions with other dogs. Do not recommend bringing your kids here, they are too small and could be knocked down by a large dog. Lots of dog owners who have little control of their dogs. It's an off leash area, but if you need one to control your dog you should still use one. Kept relatively clean. Nice scenery.
A wonderful, scenic off-leash dog park, which runs along the river and includes man-made ponds. Dogs and owners are usually good and well-mannered; however, there should be a large sign indicating that aggression will not be tolerated and that a leash be on hand at all times. I have been using this park since 1996 and have only encountered 4 (not serious) incidents.
