Booked a family suite room online. Arriving there at night, they couldn't find my booking. Didn't have any family room available. They could accommodate us in a 2x queen plus rollaway bed but had to wait until 8:45pm before getting the room. Had to move furniture around to be able to fit the extra bed in the room. We struggled to go the the bathroom because of it. Not what we expected at all, supposed to have a separate bedroom but we were all cramped in a small room...
The room was nice and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The t.v. system however sucks.i have never seen a worse system. I had to phone the front desk to get assistance. Then in the morning I turned it on and could not even get a picture. This should not be that difficult. I won't ever stay here again.
Outside is deceiving. Musty smelling. Has the feels more like a work camp. Temperature control in room doesnt work and had notification on thermostat. Could hear loud conversations from other rooms. Most of the people we saw staying here were coming or going from job sites. Didnt care for damage deposit charged to my credit card and hopefully that will not appear on my credit card. It reminds of spring 2016 when Ramada/Alberta hotels were charging full price and unusually harsh deposits when people were evacuating from Fort McMurray fires and were probably the only hotel brand not assisting the evacuees with discounts Should have walked away and looked for a better choice for the price. Location though was ideal with an amazing smokehouse restaurant next door and Tim Horton coffee shop also across parking lot.
Took advantage of the stay and play package at the Ramada recently and everything was excellent! Rooms were comfortable, staff were friendly, breakfast was good, shuttle service was top notch and the golf courses were in great condition. One of the courses closed due to rain on the second day of our trip, but the Ramada staff quickly got us a tee time on another course, shuttled us out to it and we were still able to get 18 holes in. I highly recommend the stay and play for the great value and service provided by the Ramada!
Staff were reasonably friendly. Got a room with the jacuzzi, but was quite disgusting with grime and rust. Bed was more comparable to the comfort level of an infant's crib mattress really.... blankets were nice though! Housekeeping came through really early and was an odd sort of wake up call. The jacuzzi room was definitely more then it was worth. However the hotel was decent for a smallish city. Would probably just get the cheapest room here next time and have the same outlook, without wondering what grimy things are hiding in the jacuzzi.
