Allstate is the first insurance I've stayed with long term because their rates are great. The service I've received at the red deer branch has been amazing, very happy with them.

This review is for Esurance Canada, who is backed by Allstate. I have had horrible service and would strongly recommend to anyone NOT to use this company as insurers. I had a policy with Esurance in the past so when I recently bought a new truck and was looking to insure it with someone else I had to call for a claims history letter. After waiting on hold for 37 minutes I finally had my call answered. I had a small balance of $20 left on my previous policy so I attempted to pay it. The agent on the phone had no clue how to authorize a credit card payment and after being put on hold twice and waiting for an additional 15 minutes the payment finally went through. I then asked for the claims letter to be emailed to me. I was informed it would take up to 24 hours. Prior to this I had to call AMA for a claims history as well and this was emailed to me while I was still on the phone with the rep. As an internet insurer I would assume Esurance should be able to accommodate this request as quickly if not quicker than a standard insurer like AMA. After waiting 24 hours with no email I called Esurance back. I was now informed it could actually be 24-48 hours, causing me to be unable to insure my new vehicle for several days. The people I dealt with on the phone were rude and extremely unhelpful. I will never use Allstate or Esurance again and will strongly recommend to anybody I know looking for an insurer to avoid them and find a company with some actual customer service
